Hi everyone,
First and foremost, thank you all for joining, because without members like you, this forum would go nowhere!
Ok so to fill everyone in, I created this place to help people share their music and art events, and have the primary focus to be on the artist, solo musician, or band be it local or on tour. Yes we have Facebook groups to post our events, but sometimes one's event can be missed, as posts can be bumped down rather quickly when so many people are posting in the group. Sometimes, to me, it feels like these groups are almost like a flyer dumping place, with only so many people actually viewing, interacting or sharing the event.
Additionally, I've seen people posting about how the miss the days of the BB forum, and others complaining about how FB manipulates their ads. As well as posts how some are feeling worn out by the content in their feed. Well, this forum hopes to fill these needs by providing a clean, easy to read format for promoters, bands and artists of all sorts to list their events and social media websites.
That said, I am located in Worcester MA. So of course I have a board dedicated to Worcester events and shows. But no worries, I have sections for New England touring bands, as well as boards covering the North East, West, Midwest and the South. Just scroll down to your location, and post in the group or groups closest to your area. Additionally, there are boards to list and find events relevant to your interests in music genres or artist tastes! Here is a post about using the forum's shortcuts at the top of the page.
This is a WIP and I'm sure the board will improve as it grows and more members join. Please see this thread here for some posting guidelines and ideas of what you may want to share about yourself and your events or projects.
